Job DescriptionYou will be the Quality Engineer for the Program Quality & Supplier Quality team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product quality across production and supplier sites while supporting integrated product teams.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving quality excellence in a fast-paced production and development environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to guarantee delivery of quality products.
- Support integrated product teams and supplier sites by analyzing quality data on failures, yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
- Analyze and resolve design, manufacturing, and process issues ranging from basic to complex.
- Identify trends, assist in problem resolution, and ensure responsible parties meet requirements and commitments.
- Participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards, disposition non-conforming hardware, and drive corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications• STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field or equivalent combined education/experience
• Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products.
• An understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods.
• Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.
• Ability to travel 25%-50%.
• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Desired skills• Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
• Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
• Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated team leadership skills
• Customer Relationship Management skills
• Experience working with Government customers
• Effective communication skills including written, oral, listening and technical writing.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.

Ability to work remotelyPart-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
