Job Description
The FBM Quality Engineer will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Quality Program in Cape Canaveral, FL. This opportunity, as the FBM Quality Engineer, will be supporting overall implementation, maintenance, and compliance to quality requirements.
You will also investigate Quality related support activities and supporting quality decisions associated with the effective implementation, operation, and assessment of Quality data. This role requires strong analytical skills and detail oriented. Must be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities within a team environment and meet documented schedule commitments. Ideal candidate to have prior experience presenting to various internal organizations and customers. Experience in application of quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality compliance assessment, performs statistical / pareto analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Directly work on Nonconformance documents and drive them to closure.

Basic Qualifications
- Technical bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Min of 1 years of Quality Experience in a test or production environment
- Proficiency with discrepancy documents, SAP or other databases and understand Root Cause and Corrective Action.
- Experience with data analytics to report trends and achieve results, drive improvements and efficiencies
- Experience with quality and manufacturing engineering processes or policies and/or quality systems management requirements
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired skills
Electrical or Mechanical background
- 5+ years of FBM Program Experience
- 3+ years of Quality Experience
- Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification
- Advanced SAP skills
- Familiar with other FBM related discrepancy documents/processes
- Knowledge of Material Review Board (MRB)
- Knowledgable regarding audit processes
- Experience engaging with external government customers
- Experience in a missile processing environment or Quality Assurance (QA) organization
- Familiarity with missile hardware, processes, systems, enterprise requirements and command media
- Understanding the ability to apply T9001, Technical Program Management Requirements
- Experienced with non-conformance (PR/MRB) requirements and systems
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $77,000 - $133,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
