You will be the Quality Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product and process excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for shaping and safeguarding the quality of our products and processes in a dynamic development environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Develop and review quality standards, processes, work instructions, and procedures for manufactured and procured products.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are implemented and met.
-Identify, trend, and resolve non-conformances in a timely manner.
-Lead failure analysis, Material Review Board activities, and corrective-action processes.
-Make final decisions on product acceptability.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline or equivalent discipline with 8+ years of professional experience, 6+ years professional experience with a related Master's degree, or equivalent combined education/experience
- Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation.
- Root Cause & corrective action implementation experience including Failure Review Board chair or co-chair
-Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
-Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with strong skills in AS9100 certification and compliance requirements
-Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material (Material Review Board).
-Thorough understanding of engineering requirements and inspection methods during transition to production activities
-Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products
-Ability to travel up to 10%

- Demonstrated presentation skills
-Experience working with multiple levels of Government customers and stakeholders
-Experience with MRA/Readiness Reviews
-An understanding of LMP2P / SAP / Apriso to support business operations,
- Experience or knowledge in Bid, Proposal, and Estimating practices as well as in development of Quality Basis of Estimates (BOE)
-A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Special Process Engineering experience
-Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Premium Pay Statement
