Full Job Description
We are hiring a Quality Engineer to support a high-precision CNC manufacturing operation serving aerospace, defense, medical, semiconductor, and other highly regulated industries.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that sits between CNC Programming, Manufacturing, and Quality. The Quality Engineer will review machining processes, drawings, models, and CNC programs to understand what each operation is producing and translate that information into clear, operation-specific inspection plans.

The ideal candidate understands CNC machining, GD&T, engineering drawings, and dimensional inspection and can help ensure manufacturing and Quality are aligned before parts reach the floor.

Responsibilities:
  • Review CNC programs, drawings, CAD models, setup documentation, and manufacturing processes.
  • Understand the intent and sequence of CNC machining operations and identify the features being created or modified.
  • Develop clear, operation-level inspection plans using 1Factory.
  • Define inspection characteristics, measurement methods, sampling requirements, and applicable GD&T requirements.
  • Ensure inspection requirements are tied directly to the machining operation responsible for producing the feature.
  • Work closely with CNC programmers, machinists, manufacturing engineers, and Quality inspectors to resolve process and inspection questions.
  • Identify gaps or ambiguity in manufacturing documentation before they create issues on the shop floor.
  • Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Help improve first-pass quality, reduce rework, and make inspection more efficient.
  • Maintain strong documentation, traceability, and configuration control within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, CNC machining, inspection, or a related precision manufacturing role.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and how individual operations create specific part features.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection.
  • Aerospace, defense, medical device, semiconductor, or other high-precision manufacturing.
  • 1Factory or similar digital inspection/quality software.

Benefits
  • Direct hire
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision
  • 401k
  • PTO
