NBCUniversal is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our StudioPost team in Universal City, California.

You will be responsible for theatrical and episodic mastering QC, digital restoration QC, localized archival masters QC, and network distribution file editing. You should demonstrate strong attention to detail, professionalism, communication skills, adaptability, organization, teamwork, and independence.

What You'll Do:
  • Feature Mastering QC for A Title and Acquisition masters
  • Digital Restoration Services QC (pre- and post-DRS)
  • Localized Archival Masters (dual language) QC, including feature and episodic formats
  • Edited masters for a range of network distribution files

What You Must Have:
  • 3+ years of experience to identify film, video, and audio issues and troubleshoot quality control concerns.
  • 3+ years of experience High level of technical knowledge in film, video, and audio quality control for digital platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience Operational knowledge of UHD, HD, and SD file formats and players, with experience in ProRes and IMF workflows within a mastering facility.
  • 3+ years of experience with feature mastering and foreign-language versioning.
  • 3+ years of experience Knowledge of media files, including codecs, video and audio coding formats (wrappers), frame rates, bit rates, sample rates, video resolutions, aspect ratios, broadcast audio configurations, and electronic delivery technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience Familiarity with Clipster and Colorfront Transkoder for file setup and playback.

What Would Make You a Stand-out:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Technology, Film, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of quality control experience in media distribution, post-production, television operations, or a related industry.

  • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
