ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Read and interpret contract plans and specifications to determine construction requirements.
- Document and update field testing logs
- Conduct, attend and document preparatory meetings
- Coordinate Three Phase of Control plan - Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases
- Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress
- Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the jobsite
- Lead punchlist inspection, documentation, and trade follow-up
- National travel and potential relocation with short-term notice will be required (First project assignment will be based in Roseville, CA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The characteristics listed below are representative of those sought to perform this job successfully.
- Working knowledge of field construction including mass grading, structural concrete, underground utilities, building envelope, and MEP install.
- Extensive experience in quality control for the overall construction of commercial projects
- Experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
- Strong work ethic with a passion to fulfill commitments
- Ability to coordinate with multiple owners and regulatory agencies
- Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication and conflict management skills
- Computer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, and iPad use
- Familiarity with California HCAI Health Care construction requirements is a plus
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager or Project Engineer on a similar size and type of construction contract
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a QC Manager or technical lead role
- Design/Build experience is a plus
- Procore experience is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will be at the worksite at all times whenever work or testing is being performed. The worksite environment is constantly changing and may include:
- Wet and/or humid conditions
- Outside weather conditions, such as extreme heat and extreme cold
- Moderate to loud noise levels
