Join Our Team as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Wexxar Packaging, a ProMach Company

What You'll Do:

  • FAT & VFAT Coordination: Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Virtual FATs by setting up and managing video, audio, and conferencing tools to support remote customer participation.
  • Customer-Focused Testing: Review special customer requests from sales orders and FAT checklists to ensure requirements are fulfilled during testing.
  • Scheduling & Communication: Coordinate FAT schedules with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Inspection & Testing: Perform in-process and final inspections on packaging machinery to confirm functional, safety, and specification compliance.
  • Technical Review: Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to support inspections and identify issues during machine setup and testing.
  • Hands-On Validation: Use hand tools and measuring equipment to confirm machine quality and build integrity.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, customer service, and sales to resolve issues and ensure a seamless QA process.
  • Show Machine Preparation: Inspect show/demo machines for proper setup and system integration prior to presentations or customer viewings.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production timelines, track delays, and report risks to ensure builds stay on schedule.
  • Customer Feedback Loop: Act on customer service input to continuously improve QA procedures and sign-off processes.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain QA records including checklists, deviation forms, inspection reports, and sign-off documentation.
  • Non-Conformance Handling: Investigate issues, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Quality Metrics: Track key quality indicators, support internal audits, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.


Who We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Prior experience in quality assurance, testing, or inspection within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills, with ability to span both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical schematics; hands-on experience using measurement tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
  • Problem Solver: Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage schedules, track multiple deadlines, and keep projects on track.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements for the role, including crossing borders as needed.


Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Combination of office, production floor, and warehouse environments.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and manual tool use.
  • Occasional lifting and use of inspection equipment.
