Job Summary

Partner with field teams to introduce maintenance standards and procedures that can be readily adopted. Perform functions to visit properties and conduct quality control audits to ensure all standards are maintained for mechanical and common areas , guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements, standards and methods for the inspection of mechanical and common areas within properties.
  • Plan and conduct inspections/audits to ensure properties meet contractual standards and Quality Control standards. Communicate issues, findings and deficiencies identified during the inspection and provide recommendations to management relating to process improvements. Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource for problem identification, investigation, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Document data and prepare inspection reports to management on quality assurance activities, issues, trends, and losses.
  • Participate in miscellaneous projects including quality audits and design development projects. Provide input and recommendations as necessary.
  • Partner with onsite teams to provide guidance and oversight for all maintenance operations, ensuring programs, processes, and initiatives align with organizational goals and regulatory or code requirements.
  • Partner with onsite teams to establish and use preventative maintenance programs, driving consistency and adherence to established safety protocols across all properties.
  • Partner with operations leaders to organize meetings with maintenance managers regularly to share best practices, reinforce standards, and confirm execution of initiatives.
  • Influence, coach, and support maintenance teams across the region to strengthen performance, develop capabilities, and advance a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a partner to onsite teams and leadership, providing expert guidance on maintenance optimization, cost efficiency, asset reliability, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Serve on safety committees and lead or support initiatives that ensure maintenance practices meet or exceed all safety expectations.

  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Master's Degree in field relating to Engineering, Structural Design, Building Maintenance from an accredited college or university, and minimum seven years of related experience; OR equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

This position works at various properties while conducting inspections. The employee is exposed to outdoor and indoor elements and is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit and walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
