Job Description

Turner & Townsend are looking for a Commissioning Quality / Validation Manager to work with our team alongside a key technology client. The role will be responsible for developing CQV procedures and managing the efforts of a third-party group. This role will also work closely with the QA/QC Director.

The ideal candidate will be resilient, a self-starter, and able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. This role requires a minimum of 10 years leading and directing CQV professionals. This person will have experience a strong background scientific or engineering background with CRDR IQ, OQ, PQ.

Responsibilities:
  • Full time M-F on project site working in a fast-paced environment for a confidential client in the tech industry.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience managing projects as an Owner's Rep., General Contractor, or Commissioning Agent.
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Manage the commissioning process, attend domestic first of kind inspections and quality walks.
  • Attend factory and site acceptance tests, where appropriate.
  • Ensure proper commissioning procedures and standards are developed and are being followed.
  • Chair Commissioning meetings with stakeholders.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Knowledge management - Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission (project) is input into internal databases and shared.
  • Process improvement - Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
  • Identifying ways in which project management products and services can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
  • Identifying and ensuring that the client and management are aware of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems to be used throughout projects.


Qualifications
  • Advising at a strategic level at every project stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client's overall objectives.
  • Projects are managed to the right CQV standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Strong relationships are developed with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Work as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
  • Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, are identified.
  • Key information and data are effectively shared and appropriately retained.

Education/Experience:
  • Background in Commissioning / Qualification / Validation with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
  • College degree required; PMI certification preferred.
  • Experienced managing multiple stakeholders and work stream managers.
  • Ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
