Job DescriptionQA Engineer (Software & Application Testing)Summary:Seeking a hands-on QA Engineer (Individual Contributor) with 6+ years of experience in functional testing, agile development, and end-to-end QA ownership. The ideal candidate will independently drive testing activities, ensure high-quality releases, and embrace modern automation and AI-assisted testing practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Own functional testing from requirements analysis through release sign-off.
- Design and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end test cases.
- Manage defects, validate fixes, and drive quality across releases.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Adopt automation, AI-driven testing tools, and emerging QA practices.
Required Skills:- 6+ years of functional/software testing experience.
- Strong expertise in functional, regression, and black-box testing.
- Experience working independently within Agile teams.
- Ability to translate requirements into comprehensive test scenarios.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with test automation frameworks, especially Playwright, but not required. .
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-based QA tools for test generation, data creation, and analysis.
- Exposure to Agentic AI testing and AI-enabled applications.
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Strong learning agility and interest in next-generation QA practices.
Mandatory Skills: SaaS Testing.
Experience: 8-10 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $173,800 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
