About the Role:- We are seeking a Automation Engineer to help expand test automation and CI/CD capabilities for next-generation data center networking solutions.
- In this role, you will develop and enhance automated testing frameworks to support new product introductions (NPI) across technologies including BGP++, Open/R, network fabrics, switches, and optics.
- You will work on improving test coverage, automation, and continuous integration pipelines to ensure the reliability, scalability, and quality of networking infrastructure.
Job Title:Automation Engineer IV
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and automate end-to-end network test cases, including Control Plane, Data Plane, performance, stress, and soak testing, using the in-house test framework.
- Build and execute traffic-generation tests using Ixia/Keysight in laboratory environments.
- Convert qualification test plans into automated, repeatable test suites and integrate them into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that serve as release gates.
- Triage test failures to distinguish between flaky tests and legitimate regressions, and file and track issues with the appropriate on-call teams.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks, test configurations, and laboratory tooling.
- Collaborate with laboratory infrastructure, routing, and cross-functional (XFN) engineering teams to improve test coverage and resolve blockers.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelors of Science or network engineering
- 5-8+ years of experience in software or network test automation, or Quality Assurance (QA) engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python, including test framework development, scripting, and debugging.
- Hands-on knowledge of networking fundamentals, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), routing and forwarding, Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) networking, and Data Plane versus Control Plane concepts.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and working in a Linux environment with source control systems.
- Experience using traffic generation tools such as Ixia, Keysight, or equivalent platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Open/R, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Equal-Cost Multi-Path (ECMP), Unequal-Cost Multi-Path (UCMP), or large-scale Data Center (DC) fabric topologies.
- Experience validating and qualifying network hardware, optical networking components, or vendor Network Operating Systems (NOS) such as Arista Extensible Operating System (EOS).
- Familiarity with laboratory automation, device provisioning, or large-scale performance and scalability testing.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $1,16,400 - $1,66,400 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
