Join the WP Rawl Family as a QA Supervisor!

Location: Pelion, SC
Schedule: Monday - Sat - 1st Shift (7:000 AM - 4:00 PM*)
Pay: Competitive, plus a Quarterly Incentive
(*Shift times subject to change depending on the season)

Your Role:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the QA team to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards within a manufacturing environment. This role drives performance by overseeing inspections, documentation, and product verification processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Supervisor develops and coaches QA personnel, ensures audit readiness, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain product integrity, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Quality Assurance team to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals.
  • Develop, coach, and train QA Technicians to enhance skill sets and support career growth.
  • Implement corrective actions and conduct performance management activities, including counseling, planning, and appraising direct reports.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP and SSOP program documentation.
  • Record QA and production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Generate and maintain relevant QA and Production reports.
  • Delegate and coordinate day-to-day assignments to QA personnel.
  • Perform verification and release of pre-shipment product approvals.
  • Conduct SWAB verifications on equipment during pre-op and production.
  • Ensure all samples for chemical and microbiological testing are properly collected and analyzed.
  • Recommend new processes, equipment, and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strict compliance with all safety and food quality standards across operations.
  • Prepare customer-requested samples for new or existing product lines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


What You Need to Succeed:
• High School or GED. (Associates degree preferred)
• Minimum 6 months experience in food safety or quality assurance

Minimum 6 months experience in supervisory position
• Must Demonstrate: Recognized leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication, written and oral, and customer service relationship skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Intermediate to advance in Microsoft Excel, Work, and Outlook.
• HACCP preferred
• BRC audit experience

Work Environment:
  • Cold Storage Facility (36-38°F)
  • Exposure to loud noise
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. or more
  • Heavy forklift traffic
