Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Test Engineer to lead end-to-end quality activities for customer-facing website, customer experience, and e-commerce application portfolios. The role will focus on planning, designing, developing, and executing manual and automated testing for data integration and visualization applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cypress, API and integration testing, distributed systems, automation frameworks, and CI/CD, along with excellent communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and a strong sense of ownership. The role will operate within an Agile methodology and support a Continuous Delivery Pipeline with frequent application releases.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, implement, and automate test plans and test cases within an Agile software delivery environment.
• Build, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks for end-to-end integration testing across applications, devices, and platforms using SQL or other appropriate technologies.
• Develop automation and test coverage tools using JavaScript or other appropriate languages to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Take ownership of quality across the software development lifecycle and development team.
• Track, prioritize, and manage defects throughout product releases and application lifecycles.
• Design, develop, and execute reusable and maintainable test automation scripts using JavaScript or other appropriate languages.
• Use quality control tools and metrics to identify defects and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Work with Agile and IT teams to plan, estimate, schedule, and execute testing activities.
• Establish, organize, and execute testing deliverables, including complex software test plans and strategies.
• Maintain traceability between test cases and project requirements.
• Execute end-to-end test scenarios and coordinate and support user acceptance testing.
• Report and resolve complex testing issues in collaboration with Scrum/Agile teams and other IT teams.
• Validate that software applications meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform functionality, system, regression, integration, performance, and load testing.
• Record and report testing metrics and maintain required test documentation.
• Perform manual and automated testing for backend APIs, REST services, data integrations, and customer-facing applications.
• Test integrations involving platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, and enterprise integration platforms.
• Communicate testing status, risks, issues, and recommendations effectively and proactively.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional QA or software testing experience.
• Experience testing data integration pipelines and visualization platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress for automated integration and end-to-end testing.
• Extensive experience with Cypress for integration and end-to-end testing in production environments.
• Experience testing complex customer-facing applications.
• Experience with software automation testing methodologies, including regression, functional, unit, integration, coverage, performance, and load testing.
• Strong experience with REST API testing using Bruno, Postman, REST Assured, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience performing integration testing of Spring Boot microservices.
• Experience testing event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, Salesforce Platform Events, AWS EventBridge, or similar platforms.
• Experience with API security testing, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with database validation and SQL query development.
• Experience with automated integration testing using Cypress, JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers, and WireMock.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems using application logs, monitoring, and observability platforms.
• Experience testing enterprise integration platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Rally and HP ALM for test management and Agile testing activities.
• Experience working with monorepo architectures using technologies such as Nx, Turborepo, Lerna, Yarn Workspaces, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of integration testing strategies across microservices and multi-package systems.
• Knowledge of API testing tools and frameworks, including Postman and REST Assured.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, and Testing Library.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG, and cross-browser testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in meetings and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of testing activities, identify risks, and proactively raise issues and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience testing integrations across Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience with iPaaS technologies such as MuleSoft or Boomi.
• Experience working with Agile teams supporting Continuous Delivery and frequent application releases.
• Experience with complex distributed systems and enterprise integration architectures.
