Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong Python skills to design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites. The role involves collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software releases.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
Build and enhance automation frameworks using tools such as Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, or Robot Framework.
Develop automated tests for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
Create and execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end tests.
Perform API automation and validation using tools such as Requests, Postman, or REST-assured alternatives.
Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
Create detailed and reproducible bug reports in tools such as Jira.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Maintain test data, test environments, automation scripts, and related documentation.
Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, and code reviews.
Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.
Perform basic database validation using SQL.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
Monitor automation results and provide QA status and release-quality reports.
Required Skills
Strong programming experience with Python.
Hands-on experience with Pytest or another Python-based testing framework.
Experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI automation.
Good understanding of API testing and REST APIs.
Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and version control.
Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools.
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
Knowledge of Docker and containerized test environments.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with performance or load testing tools such as JMeter.
Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Behave.
Familiarity with test reporting tools such as Allure or HTML reports.
Experience with parallel and distributed test execution.
Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant QA/testing certifications are an advantage.
