Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering individualized therapy programs to help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities, achieve greater independence, and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and functional abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals.
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, coordination, strength, and functional independence.
Train patients in adaptive techniques and the use of assistive devices.
Recommend and educate patients on appropriate splints, braces, mobility aids, and other adaptive equipment when required.
Provide rehabilitation for neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, geriatric, and other relevant conditions.
Educate patients, caregivers, and family members regarding home exercise programs and ongoing care.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, speech therapists, nurses, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Follow professional, ethical, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
Participate in case discussions, clinical meetings, and continuing professional development activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT) from a recognized institution.
Valid registration/licensure as required by the relevant regulatory authority.
Relevant clinical experience is preferred; fresh graduates may be considered depending on the organization.
