Job SummarySeeking a Python Developer to support the development of scalable data-driven applications and analytics solutions across enterprise investment platforms. This role focuses on building backend services, financial data pipelines, APIs, and integration solutions that support portfolio management, trading, analytics, and investment decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development expertise and experience working within banking, financial services, or asset management environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and backend services supporting investment platforms
- Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for large-scale financial datasets including market, portfolio, and transaction data
- Develop APIs and backend services supporting analytics, reporting, and downstream integrations
- Perform data processing, transformation, and integration across multiple enterprise systems
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, quantitative teams, and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support scalable architecture, performance optimization, and operational stability initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and data-related issues
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in Python development
- Experience within banking or financial services environments
- Strong proficiency with Python and related libraries such as NumPy and Pandas
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines and large-scale datasets
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and backend development
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure; AWS experience acceptable
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline processes
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications- Experience within Asset Management or Capital Markets environments
- Exposure to portfolio analytics, trading systems, or risk management platforms
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics and investment technology initiatives
