Job Description:

Have you developed a reputation for your ability to strategize, analyze, design and implement PIM, PXM, Digital Shelf, and syndication solutions to support eCommerce initiatives? Do clients rely on you to create and communicate the detailed technology architecture and implementation strategy for the solution? If leading technical teams through the integration and development of underlying Commerce and Product Information Management systems sounds like a challenge you want to tackle, then we want to meet you.

The work:

  • Own the end‑to‑end technical architecture for complex PIM, PXM, and commerce-related SaaS implementations, from initial discovery through design, build, and deployment
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and extensible solution architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and platform best practices
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical architectures, including data models, integration patterns, workflows, and system landscapes across PIM, DAM, ERP, commerce, and syndication platforms
  • Lead the technical integration strategy, defining how SaaS platforms connect with upstream and downstream systems using APIs, services, and event‑driven patterns
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership to delivery teams, guiding configuration, custom development, and integration while ensuring solution quality and performance
  • Act as the technical authority and escalation point, identifying risks, resolving complex issues, and ensuring architectural decisions support long‑term scalability and maintainability
  • Collaborate closely with functional leads, project managers, and client stakeholders to align technical design with business outcomes and delivery timelines
  • Define and enforce governance, security, and quality standards across environments, including data integrity, access controls, and auditability
  • Support pre‑sales and business development efforts by contributing to solution visions, architecture assessments, estimates, and RFP responses as a subject‑matter expert
  • Maintain a strong point of view on the PIM and commerce vendor ecosystem, advising clients on platform selection, trade‑offs, and future‑state roadmaps
  • Drive AEO and GEO strategies for clients using PIM data for LLM syndication
  • Stay up to date on industry trends related to Agentic Commerce and leverage of GenAI and Agentic solutions to automate the product content supply chain

Here’s what you need:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with the following:
    • PIM Platform architecture & integration design
    • Data modeling
    • API Strategy & integration engineering
    • Workflow & governance configuration
    • SQL, Python, ETL/iPaas tools (Mulesoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services)
    • Performance & scalability planning
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with integration architecture:
    • REST APIs (JSON, OAuth2, pagination, rate limits)
    • Webhook/event-driven integrations
    • Batch & bulk APIs (NDJSON, CSV, XML → JSON transformations)
    • Error handling & retries for large-scale catalog syncs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the areas of project/program management, IT resource management and/or IT operations management
  • Minimum of 4 years experience implementing large, complex PIM solutions across Enterprise stacks (ie. Salsify, Syndigo, Akeneo, InRiver, Informatica P360, Stibo STEP, 1WorldSync)
  • Solid understanding of AEO and GEO strategies and how to adapt product data for UCP / ACP / MCP protocols
  • Experience with Data Engineering and Transformation:
    • Data mapping & transformation (XML ↔ JSON ↔ CSV)
    • Data quality rules & validation
    • Profiling upstream source data
    • Bulk migration strategies (100k+ SKUs)
    • Handling multi-language & multi-region data sets

Bonus points if:

  • Experience in pre-sales strategy, business development, and/or proposal creation
  • Ability to take ownership of a particular solution offering and to develop and execute a strategy and business plan to support the growth of the solution offering
  • Knowledge of GDSN concepts, Digital Shelf Analytics, Enhanced Content, Retailer schemas & validation rules
  • Experience with GenAI or Agentic AI integration within PIM platforms,
  • Previous Hands-On experience with AEO, GEO implementation
