Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously involving diverse parts in purchasing.
  • Oversee the purchasing portion of budgets and tooling expenses.
  • Lead technical discussions with suppliers and project teams on various parts.
  • Collaborate with the global purchasing team to implement Bosch's purchasing procedures.

Full Job Description
  • Ensure cost, qualification and delivery of components that meet the project design book.
  • Responsible for supplier selection process of new parts in New Product Development using competitive pricing analysis; also responsible for ensuring key project milestones are delivered per agreed project schedule.
  • Coordinating part approvals by working with design team & selected suppliers to get quality related documents such as inspection reports, test reports showing compliance to Bosch procedures
  • Responsible in purchasing project management of simultaneously managed multiple projects that involves diversity of different parts.
  • Manages the purchasing portion of budgets / tooling expenses.
  • Coordinates & leads technical supplier discussions with supplier & project team on plastic, machined, die cast, electrical & electronics, powder metal parts.
  • Effectively interacts with the global purchasing team to drive projects using Bosch purchasing procedures.
  • Ownership of key departmental key-user functions in one or more of the following areas: Advanced Negotiation specialist, Activities related with Supplier Contract Documentation, Specialist in areas of using Bosch Purchasing platform for requesting supplier quotes, analysis & awarding.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree required, Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of working experience in Engineering and/or technical project management.
  • Additional education / working experience in the areas of Purchasing / costing / cost accounting / manufacturing / packaging / plastic parts manufacturing / Project management process is a plus
  • PMP Certifications / Negotiation experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge / on the job training related with Engineering, design, CAD, Quality
  • Excellent in MS office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent in presentations, verbal & written communication, interpersonal skills & being able to work in team environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others
  • Working knowledge of Engineering drawings, specifications, 3D files, various manufacturing process like stamping, plastics, rubber, electrical / electronic assemblies, cords, cordless power tools
  • Experience in working with external business partners in Mexico and Asia is a plus.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 to 110,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Pay ranges included in the postings generally reflect base salary; certain positions may include bonus, commission, or additional benefits.
