Hyosung HICO is seeking to fill a
Purchasing Manager position. The ideal candidate will manage the purchasing team, including purchasing process control, purchasing strategy establishment, bid management, control of purchase order, manage delivery lead times, manage purchase contracts with suppliers, supplier quality audits, handle assets of external providers etc.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:- Establish, implement, and oversee purchasing strategy and control of purchase contracts.
- Establish and monitor purchasing policies, supplier requirement, and purchasing ethic policies, etc.
- Manage purchase orders processes including receipts of price quotation, selection, delivery, etc.
- Plan and conduct regular evaluation of registered suppliers with relevant teams per ISO requirements
- Plan and implement education and training for suppliers as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms to secure favorable pricing and delivery
- Plan and implement improvement activities for cost reduction, quality improvement, standardization, etc.
- Manage documented information and the security of such information, such as annual purchasing strategy, purchase order, approved vendor list, contract, supplier assessment/evaluation report, change request provided by supplier, external provider's asset list,
- RCA (root cause analysis) report, risk management sheet, organization knowledge, training/education record, job competency assessment, cost reduction, and purchasing procedure (or work instruction), performance report, purchasing policy, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring purchasing KPI's such as buyer performance, supplier delivery performance, and supplier quality
- Ensure all purchasing team activities are performed with the highest of standards and
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Power Transformer Division by conducting business with other Hyosung divisions, departments, suppliers, etc. in a timely and cooperative

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:- Bachelor's degree in purchasing, operations, business or related discipline/field, plus a minimum of 8 years' experience in purchasing within manufacturing environment, including 5 years in purchasing supervisory or equivalent education and/or experience
- Previous experience in heavy industrial manufacturing and/or Engineered to Order manufacturing company.
- Advanced skills in a variety of purchasing techniques within manufacturing (both ERP and non-ERP methodologies).
