Full Job Description
A24 is seeking a Publicist to join the Publicity team. This role takes meaningful ownership of talent relationships across A24's film slate, acting as a trusted point of contact for talent and their representatives, while partnering with Film Leads and Senior Publicists to drive strategic campaign execution from launch through release. This role is based in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for talent and their representatives - agents, managers, and publicists - across assigned titles, building relationships grounded in trust, responsiveness, and discretion
  • Manage talent participation across all press activities including interviews, press days, premieres, film festivals, talk shows, and promotional tours, ensuring a seamless and well-supported experience
  • Develop a deep understanding of each talent's preferences, priorities, and working style to anticipate needs and navigate dynamics with care and professionalism
  • Work with Film Leads to prepare thorough briefing materials and talking points for talent ahead of media appearances
  • Support Senior Publicists and Film Leads in developing and executing strategic PR campaigns across A24's film slate, taking ownership of assigned titles from campaign launch through release
  • Oversee press day logistics across agencies, incorporating needs from Creative Marketing, Specialty Marketing, Home Entertainment, and International Publicity
  • Develop and maintain strong media relationships; proactively identify new press opportunities and craft pitches that drive coverage across titles
  • Partner closely with International Publicity, Grassroots, and Events teams to align efforts on specialty and awards campaigns
  • Manage key press materials - including one-pagers, key set images, and clips - in coordination with Publicity Coordinators
  • Staff publicity events, including press days, screenings, film festivals, and awards-related events; availability for after-hours and weekend coverage required
  • Handle sensitive communications with professionalism and discretion

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in film and/or television PR at a major studio, streamer, network, or agency
  • Established, trusted relationships with talent representatives - agents, managers, and publicists
  • Proven ability to manage talent with professionalism, warmth, and discretion across high-pressure campaign moments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including pitch writing and press materials
  • Consumer/awards press experience and active media relationships
  • Deep familiarity with film publicity cycles, press strategies, and the evolving media landscape
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Creative thinker with strong instincts for talent-driven storytelling and campaign strategy
  • Awareness of cultural conversations and trends relevant to A24's slate
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Our target salary range for this role is between $110,000 to $135,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
