Summary

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Transmission Commercial System Process and Improvement (TSRF), Transmission Commercial System Management, Transmission Marketing and Sales, Bonneville Power Administration.

A successful candidate in the Public Utilities Specialist position manages the reservation and sale of transmission services associated with the transmission tariff ensuring commercial compliance oversight for transmission commercial functions.

Duties

As a Public Utilities Specialist , you will:

  • Using in depth knowledge of the OASIS, WebTrans and Scheduling systems to create and maintain regression test plans.
  • Provide time/material estimates for project deliverables to project manager.
  • Perform immediate analysis on reported RealTime critical system issues.
  • Collaborates with end users on potential solutions to ensure complete issue resolution.
  • Coordinates findings and solutions with release coordinators.
  • On large scale software changes, organize, construct and perform formal training to end users and support staff.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: experience planning, scheduling, and conducting software projects and; analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to seek continuous improvements to marketing interface systems or energy scheduling systems to support organizational business practices and procedures.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.
