Summary:

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Public Health Analyst I to carry out a broad array of data management and help desk activities for DHQP (Vaccine) Surveillance Branch.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Mid- to senior-level Data Management Support to provide Level 1 (Facilities Enrollment) help desk support for an average of 200 email help desk tickets per workday; provide technical support.
  • Assist users in acquiring digital credentials via SAMS.
  • Enroll facilities in NHSN as needed.
  • Triage Level 2 support to appropriate SMEs.
  • Migrate the current email system of managing tickets.
  • Create and manage up-to-date user support documentation for internal (team) and external (NHSN users and partners) audiences.
  • Maintain electronic files, e.g., for NHSN Agreement to Participate and Consent documents.
  • Handle inquiries from existing and prospective NHSN Dialysis Event module users, provide information to facilities to enable enrollment with NHSN, and provide user support regarding procedures for correctly applying CDC COVID-19 and HAI definitions and criteria and data entry.
  • Provide Level 2 (Triaging) help desk support (Infection Preventionists / Epidemiologists) to address NHSN protocol issues.
  • Conduct technical assistance for users reporting data into the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).
  • Identify and create necessary NHSN modules/manual updates resulting from technological advancements, infection/disease trends, changing or broadening IP/nursing responsibilities, or yearly updates of system components.
  • Submit system change requests, perform application testing, manage data collection forms, and identify system defects.
  • Participate during CDC response activities and training exercises under direction of the DHQP Team Lead; duties include staffing the EOC desk to help support CDC's mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $108,000 annually.
