Job Summary:
Provides psychological services to patients receiving mental health services. Diagnoses and treats emotional and mental disorders within the scope of licensure. Assesses and provides psychotherapeutic interventions as appropriate.

Essential Functions:
- Conducts psychological screening, assessment and/or evaluations on all patients referred for examination and/or mental health treatment. Prepares treatment plans for all patients requiring specialized therapy.
- Coordinates with consulting psychiatrist to ensure patients requiring evaluation for medication, or re-evaluation of current medications, are seen by the psychiatrist/physician in a timely manner. Ensures the psychiatrist is aware of any information pertinent to the patient's clinical condition.
- Interprets a patient's self report of behavior and/or appropriate psychological tests. Delivers supportive services, consultation and educational programs for the department.
- Communicates clinical findings in writing, as well as through Mental Health consultation with organizational staff. Provides documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Utilizes electronic medical record system (EMR) as applicable throughout the scope of duties and responsibilities.
