Full Job Description
The Behavioral Science Division at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is excited to announce an opening for a psychologist position with a primary focus in working with patients in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. This position is full time with opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings and includes a Clinical Faculty Appointment through University of Pittsburgh's Department of Pediatrics. In collaboration with the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, the psychologist will provide care for pediatric and young adult patients dealing with rheumatic disorders, such as:
• Antiphospholipid Syndrome
• Musculoskeletal pain syndromes
• Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
• Lupus
• Vasculitides
• Connective tissue diseases, such as:
• Juvenile Systemic Scleroderma
• Pediatric Craniofacial Scleroderma
• Pediatric Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Psychologists at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh have a primary focus in a pediatric subspecialty and may have other clinical duties dependent on interests, skills, and identified needs of the hospital system. Psychologists will function as embedded providers within their Medical Divisions by providing clinical care to patients and families and teaching to medical staff and trainees; collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams; and developing programs pertinent to their interests. Additional opportunities exist dependent on interests and skill sets.

We are looking for individuals invested in creating innovative integrated behavioral health models within a large healthcare system. We have a growing service within a busy clinical setting. Individuals who enjoy a fast-paced clinical setting are well suited to this position. Applicants with prior experience in pediatric psychology are preferred.

Opportunities exist to participate in program development for improving care delivery models focusing on bridging inpatient and outpatient services, group intervention models, and implementation of prevention and intervention models.
