Serve as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders to help them realize their full human potential by offering quality, excellent care with greater accessibility.Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking a Psychologist 2 to perform psychological evaluations, administer psychological testing, and complete psychological reports while working with clinical staff regarding results and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice psychology.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
  • Completes psychological evaluations by administering psychological tests, analyzing test and interview data, and writing psychological reports.
  • Works in collaboration with clinical staff regarding results and recommendations and maintains records of raw test data according to agency guidelines and state laws.
  • Completes requests for psychological testing from NEDHSA staff and determines appropriateness of referral and completes the prior authorization process, if necessary, for Medicaid, Medicare, Magellan, and other private insurers.
  • Performs additional duties requested that are not listed on the job description, but relate to services provided by clinic staff. This includes completing assessments, providing emergency services to clients in crisis, and providing appropriate referrals for services.
  • Maintains testing supplies and resources for clinics.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special Duty

Compensation: NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.
  • 2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000* for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians.
(Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
