Advanced Practice Provider - PMHNP Location: Anderson, South Carolina

Setting: Outpatient Behavioral Health
Position OverviewThe APP will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing behavioral health treatment in a supportive outpatient environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing individualized, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of behavioral health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within the provider's scope of practice.
- Monitor patient progress, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other members of the treatment team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and community resources when appropriate.
- Follow all clinical, ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C).
- Current or eligible South Carolina professional license.
- Current or eligible DEA registration, as required for the position.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team.
- Newly certified and experienced APPs are encouraged to apply.
