Job Description General Description:The Loudoun Provost serves as the chief administrative officer of the Loudoun Campus, reports directly to the President, and serves as a member of the Administrative Council. The Provost provides strategic leadership and oversight for campus operations, programs and services, enrollment, student success, community engagement, resource stewardship, and campus planning. As a member of the Administrative Council, the Provost contributes to the development and implementation of collegewide policies, strategic priorities, and institutional initiatives while representing the interests and needs of the Loudoun Campus community.
The Loudoun Provost serves as the primary steward of the Loudoun Campus community and is responsible for fostering an environment in which students and employees can thrive. The Provost cultivates a welcoming, inclusive, and high-performing campus culture that supports student success, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The Provost builds and sustains partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, school divisions, elected officials, and other stakeholders to advance the mission of the College and support the educational and workforce needs of the region. The Provost directly supervises campus-based deans, directors, and other assigned personnel and is responsible for advancing the strategic goals and priorities of Northern Virginia Community College and the Virginia Community College System.
Duties and Tasks:- Create and sustain a positive, mission-driven, student-ready campus culture and climate to support the success of NOVA students and the performance of NOVA employees
- Coordinate and provide oversight for campus planning, operations, student success services, community outreach, and budget preparation.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate campus leadership and employees to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Supervise direct reports to ensure attainment of goals set forth by NOVA and VCCS strategic plans.
- Lead campus resource planning, budget development, and stewardship to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and effective and efficient use of college resources.
- Use the Administrative Information System (AIS) to access, enter, update, and maintain information required to perform assigned job duties.
- Make regular requests from employees for updates and input on college decisions and share feedback with supervisors for inclusion in the NOVA Brief.
- Lead efforts to sustain and grow enrollment, retention, completion, and other student success outcomes for the Loudoun Campus.
- Represent NOVA and the Loudoun Campus at key stakeholder meetings and public engagements.
- Build local community connections, partnerships, and relationships that advance the Loudoun Campus and its students
- Participate in collegewide activities, initiatives, and projects that advance NOVA and VCCS strategic plans.
Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
The employee requires access to the Administrative Information System (AIS) to perform the duties and tasks required of the position.

Required Qualifications:- Doctoral degree earned and awarded by a regionally accredited institution.
- Five years of full-time, progressively responsible leadership experience in a community college and/or university setting.
- Experience in teaching at the community college or university level.
- Experience in developing, managing, and leveraging relationships with external partners (e.g., employers, donors).
Additional Considerations Additional Considerations:- Demonstrated experience leading organizational change and managing complex initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the use of data, evidence and analysis in decision-making.
