What You'll Do:The
Regional Supervisor, Medical Services - West Region provides oversight of medical services delivered by medical staff across all Connections facilities. This position ensures appropriate staffing, scheduling, and clinical decision-making related to patient admissions, treatment, and discharge. The Medical Services Supervisor provides both clinical care and operational leadership and is expected to provide shift coverage as needed, with a minimum of 25% of weekly hours dedicated to direct clinical care.
Medical Services Oversight and Staffing- Provides oversight of Medical Services staff and ensures adequate staffing coverage across all facilities.
- Maintains provider schedules for all markets in collaboration with Workforce Management and adjusts coverage as operational needs arise.
- Supports appropriate clinical staffing and decision-making related to patient admissions, treatment, and discharges.
Clinical Care and Patient Flow - Provides direct clinical care for a minimum of 25% of weekly hours as a BHMP, including clinical assessment and treatment of patients across locations.
- Provides shift coverage as needed to support the medical team and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Monitors patient flow throughout the facility and partners with leadership to identify and address internal or external barriers to patient movement.
- Communicates and collaborates with external organizations to coordinate patient care and support continuity of services.
Leadership and Team Development - Assists with hiring, onboarding, training, motivating, and developing Medical Services staff.
- Supports performance management and conflict resolution and promotes professional conduct among Medical Services staff.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and support to Medical Services staff to promote effective teamwork and quality patient care.
- Manages students, residents, and university contracts as required.
Operations and Compliance - Ensures provider payroll is completed accurately and reflects all hours worked across assigned markets.
- Collaborates with Workforce Management and operational leadership to support accurate scheduling and staffing.
- Helps develop and lead trainings for Medical Services staff across Connections hospital markets.
- Travels to other Connections locations as needed to support training, clinical operations, and organizational initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with psychiatric certification.
- Psychiatric certification required.
- Three years of experience in crisis mental health and/or the delivery of behavioral health treatment to children, adolescents, or adults.
- Experience providing treatment to children, adolescents, and adults.
- Two years of experience in a supervisory position.
- Licensed in each state where Connections operates a facility (AZ, PA, WA, VA), with appropriate board certification, valid DEA certification, and X-waiver or other applicable prescribing authorization as required.
It would be great if you had:
- Continued education or advanced training related to psychiatric, behavioral health, or crisis care services.
