Proposal Manager
Location: Remote opportunity within the U.S. with ability to travel occasionally to client locations or in-office meetings.
CEG Solutions is seeking a proposal writer with experience writing proposals for sustainability-focused development and design-build construction firms that deliver innovative energy infrastructure solutions to clients across the United States.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:- Write proposal content to include technical sections for sustainable engineering solutions firm.
- Detailed understanding and the ability to author technical solutions for at least three of the following areas: mechanical engineering and design, HVAC, electrical engineering and design, distributed energy, lighting, solar, or plumbing for sustainable engineering and construction solutions.
- Review and edit sections drafted by other contributors.
- Synthesize raw content from various sources into a cohesive and comprehensive passage.
- Ensure final submission is compliant with company standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience leading proposal development in at least three of the following vertical markets: Commercial and Industrial, Healthcare, Federal Government, State and Municipal Government, Higher Education and Data Centers.
- Experience collaborating with a diverse team in a remote work environment across multiple time zones.
- Experience preparing and writing complex proposals.
- Understanding of the context of RFP.
- Proven technical writing skills and track record of creating compelling, clear, and succinct documents.
- Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Goggle Workspace.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three - five (3-5) years of experience and knowledge of the A|E|C industries, specifically Energy Service Companies (ESCOs)/Energy Performance Contracting field is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a writer on technical proposals.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and write about complex engineering topics.
- Strong project management with attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Familiarity and/or expertise in sustainable energy solutions
