Responsibilities

Location: Denver Corporate Office - 1700 Broadway, Suite 200 | Denver, CO? 80290

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Schedule: Hybrid. In-office 3 days per week.

The Property Accounting Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the overall integrity of multi-family property financial records. On-going responsibilities include month-end close processes, financial statement preparations, internal support with accounting-related issues, and other month-end procedures. This position is responsible for developing and managing a team of property accountants.

What You'll Do...
  • Provide training, leadership, motivation, and support to the property accounting team to deliver superior performance and results.
  • Manage the monthly close process to ensure accuracy of financial packages and meet internal and external deadlines
  • Review work performed by property accountants including reconciliations, payments, bank reconciliations, general ledger postings, fixed asset schedules, and income statements and assist in research needed to resolve outstanding items
  • Collaborate with operations to resolve property accounting questions and implement solutions and efficient processes
  • Respond to inquiries regarding financial results and special reporting requests from internal and external parties


Requirements

What You Need to Succeed...
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience required.
  • 2+ years of real estate experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Yardi accounting software preferred.
  • Detail-orientated, self-motivated, and willing to take the initiative to get things done.
  • Demonstrates commitment to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, team player.
  • Communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation is required.
