Summary of Position
Douglas County is welcoming applications for an Accounting/Finance Supervisor. This is highly responsible work performing a variety of complex financial duties as well as supervising other professional staff. While not all inclusive, this position is responsible for supervising and training assigned personal, collaborating with the Assistant Finance Director in the preparation and publication of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), working with auditors, assisting Finance Department leadership support new governmental accounting standards, establishing and maintaining Finance Department policies and procedures, is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and Chart of Accounts, and for supporting the department by completing work and special projects as assigned.

The Accounting Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field. Four (4) years of professional level experience including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Governmental accounting experience and/or a CPA with audit experience is highly desirable. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

This position requires successful completion of a drug screen, reference checks, and a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.

Generally, the hiring range is $80,000.00-$100,000.00 annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.
