Full Job Description
Your responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution and financial performance of customer projects across the cement and non-cement industries. The Role assumes full ownership from contract handover through final completion. Projects may range in the supply of individual equipment to complex plant upgrades or system modernizations involving multiple OEM and subcontractor products.

As the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, the Project Manager is accountable for safety, quality, schedule, budget, risk management and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills combined with commercial awareness, technical understanding and the ability to coordinate teams across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, site services, and commissioning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects from contract award through completion in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures
  • Develop and manage project scope and schedule and proactively resolve technical, commercial and execution challenges
  • Managing the project budget & cost control in coordination with the CPM
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and site service activities
  • Meet with customer representatives such as plant or corporate personnel to participate in meetings and discuss project status
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Ensuring documentation and QA/QC requirements are satisfied
  • Performing risk mitigation and developing risk responses and mitigation strategies
  • Conducting project review meetings and create detailed reports for executive management
  • Support contract reviews and negotiations as required
  • Work with our global engineering and service teams to facilitate customer needs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and capture lessons learned for future projects

Your profile

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Industrial, etc.)
  • At least 5 years related experience and training project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge & Skills:
  • Effectively communicate with clients, global project teams, equipment suppliers and office support teams
  • Excellent level of verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to convey technical information to audiences effectively
  • Inherent ability to work effectively in a global team environment and strong desire to be successful
  • Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment, and impeccable follow up ability is crucial
  • Project Management certification is considered an asset
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts
  • Able to read/ understand detailed technical drawings and parts lists
  • Must wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as appropriate
  • Strict adherence to MSHA regulations (training provided) required at jobsites

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and use of SAP and AutoCAD is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to quickly learn and use new software tools
  • Experience in project execution, commissioning, and start up activities at customer sites.
  • Additional language skills are considered an asset
  • Experience in similar industry strongly preferred

Travel Demands:
  • Ability to travel to customer sites. Flexibility to accommodate travel schedules and customer requirements. (Travel 30+%)
  • Valid Passport required.
  • Real ID Driver's License required.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime (including nights, weekends, and holidays along with working outdoors in all weather conditions).
