Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility is to manage a project by leading all crews and subcontractors to get the project completed safely, on time and on budget.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety:

  • Responsible for overall job safety as per the safety manual for the particular job.
  • Ensure that Test holes are dug where required and marked out.
  • Report any damage to Utility lines to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure that jobsite meets all OSHA standards including cleanliness.
  • Ensure that everyone on the site is following all safety protocols – AHA’s and Tool Box Talks.

 

Payroll and Equipment Reports:

  • Submits daily time sheet each and every workday.
  • Ensure accuracy of time sheets and equipment.
  • Prepare and Update Equipment Schedule.

 

Scheduling:

  • Coordinate all work with Sub-contractors.
  • Coordinate all Utility requirements with providers.
  • Schedule Labor and Equipment with Project Manager and Dispatcher each day by 1:00PM for the following day.

 

Planning:

  • Prepare 3-Week Look Ahead Schedules.
  • Assist Project Manager with creating and updating CPM Project Schedule.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Foreman in creating Work Plan Packages.
  • Secure Site Plans on Trailer wall in Field Office.
  • Assist Project Manager in completing Cost Projections.

 

Supervision:

  • Supervises and ensures that all tasks are carried out by Foreman.
  • Oversee all Field Survey and Layout for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all work is completed per all contract documents.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Mechanical Environmental Engineering, Construction Management preferred or similar related experience.

  • 5+ years of related experience in a supervisory role required.

  • Experience within existing water/wastewater treatment plants and pump stations and constructing new facilities.

  • Must be capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail oriented; have above average interpersonal skills and have excellent follow-through capability.

  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment; able to accurately process written documents, perform duties in a timely manner, be highly organized and able to interface; communicate effectively with company, clients and field personnel.

 

Reports to: Regional Director

 

Location: Austin/Central, TX
