HCII is developing new tools to augment designer and engineer creativity using analogical reasoning, and we're seeking a
Project Scientist to join the team. The project explores the use of contemporary AI systems, such as large language models and text-to-image generators, to develop new interactive systems to help people find new ideas through sketching, brainstorming, and embedding space navigation. We are currently designing and testing new systems using realistic design tasks.
Core Responsibilities- Writing documentation, technical papers, progress reports and participating in meetings/committees.
- Lead research efforts within main goals of project, and help coordinate interactions with other team members and universities.
- Acts as team leader, providing project management direction
- Contributor in developing and documenting research findings and collaborator in writing scientific papers
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Propose and lead independent research goals within scope of projects.

Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
- 5-8 years of research experience required.
- Excellent communication, project management and analytical skills.
- A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
