Job Summary
Field execution & simultaneous operations (SimOps) oversight
- Coordinate execution of large projects and SimOps, ensuring safe and efficient use of shared field resources
- Anticipate and resolve spatial, temporal, or resource conflicts between groups
Safety & compliance leadership
- Ensure full compliance with COP HSE Management System during execution, making safety and environmental protection the top priority in all decisions and actions
- Enforce adherence to site standards and regulatory requirements in daily activities
Cross-functional coordination
- Align contractors, operations, and maintenance teams to execute work packages
- Provide field feedback to planners, engineers, and supervisors to improve constructability and readiness
Continuous improvement
- Identify and drive improvements to SimOps, contractor integration, and execution efficiency
- Capture and share lessons learned from commissioning, punch-listing, and closeout
Tasks & responsibilities
Pre-execution readiness
- Support Long Range and Infrastructure Planners with constructability reviews, contracting input, and scope validation
- Provide input on estimates, monitor budget impacts, and manage scope changes through the planning phase
Execution coordination
- Act as the on-site coordinator linking COP maintenance teams with resident and third-party contractors
- Oversee daily SimOps to avoid space, time, or resource conflicts between simultaneous activities
- Coordinate logistics (flights, billeting) for infield activities including East-West flights and CD3 visits for O&M activities
- Coordinate response and execution of emergent work (e.g., pipeline leaks, drill site shutdowns, and other unplanned events)
- Coordinate all POP activities from rig handover to first oil to drive schedule performance
Monitoring & reporting
- Track progress of construction work, including cost performance and scope changes, and updating monthly plans and budgets
- Maintain records of punch lists, commissioning activities, and project closeout deliverables
Communication & escalation
- Act as primary point of contact between field crews, supervisors, Anchorage-based teams, and contractors during execution phase
- Escalate resource and schedule conflicts, safety issues, or material delays promptly for resolution

- Resident & 3rd-Party Contractors
Performance metrics - Schedule compliance % (jobs completed vs. jobs scheduled)
- Planned vs. actual hours variance
- HSE compliance (TRIR, recordables, safety observations closed)
- % of projects delivered on budget
Required qualifications / specific education & experience - 5+ years of experience in operations, maintenance planning, construction coordination, or project execution in oil & gas, mining, or other heavy industry
- Working knowledge of SAP PM/MM modules (maintenance, materials, financials)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in Alaska or other remote, arctic, or offshore environments
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work a 2x2 rotational schedule on the North Slope
