Drilling & Project ManagerJob SummaryThe Drilling & Projects Manager is responsible for managing Fairweather's direct support for exploration drilling, development drilling, well intervention, and capital projects. They are responsible for building, leading, and maintaining a team consisting of office-based project personnel as well as field-based supervisory and operations support personnel.
Essential Duties- Identify business opportunities to provide planning, design, project management, operational oversight, and operational support services to clients in Alaska with the potential to expand to other parts of the US.
- Support business development by securing contracts for Fairweather, LLC through client engagement, Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, and preparing Work Orders.
- Monitor department financial health by managing department budget, forecast, revenue, and expenses.
- Maintain oversight of client project statuses to ensure Fairweather delivers the highest level of support at all times.
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) on department work products.
- Manage and develop technical and operational staff to support project-based work.
- Collaborate with other Fairweather Business Line Managers, such as Permitting & Regulatory, Medical, Science, and HSE, on projects that incorporate multiple business lines.
- Coordinate, monitor, and provide client's direction to service providers and subcontractors working on Fairweather managed projects.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with all parties involved in project planning and execution including relevant regulatory oversight agencies.
- Maintain Fairweather's HSE standards, provide safety leadership, and drive a zero-incident culture.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities- Must be safety conscious and hold a high standard for HSE practices.
- Must be capable of self-directing work.
- Must have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and executing projects within expected scope, schedule, and budget.
- Must be able to multi-task and maintain oversight over multiple simultaneous operations in various stages of planning, execution, and close out.
- Must have a strong knowledge of and experience applying oil & gas industry best practices and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent on the job experience.
- 10 years of drilling and completions experience.
- 3 years of Alaska Experience.
- 5 years of previous leadership experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:Full-time position with regular business hours; availability for over-time based on project timelines necessary.
