Job Description Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic and tactical initiatives that drive operational excellence across OhioHealth's revenue cycle operations. This role oversees all facets of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, communication, change management, risk mitigation, and performance reporting under the direction of the Director of Continuous Improvement & Performance Management. The project manager collaborates closely with Information Services (IS) project managers, vendors, departmental teams, and leverages IT frameworks to ensure seamless project execution. Key responsibilities include managing system upgrades, implementing innovative technologies, and leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. The project manager plays a critical role in the commercialization of revenue cycle services, the launch of new sites and services, and the integration of professional and vendor solutions. Utilizing data analytics, the project manager drives informed, data-supported decision-making and ensures that all projects align with organizational goals. They monitor project performance and return on investment (ROI) through key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities And Duties:
20% - Responsible for administrative tasks related to the project including: development/maintenance of project plans, project tracking, budget preparation, meeting planning, status reporting, and change management initiatives.
10% - Designs project team membership, project implementation methodology and steering committee membership.
10% - Identifies and suggests solutions for barriers to timely completion of assigned projects. Issues may include technological incompatibility, problematic working relationships, budget constraints and educational deficiencies.
10% - Participates in measurement of team success through performance evaluations.
10% - Independently directs the work of the Revenue Cycle project team.
20% - Provides project leadership, consultation and implementation including all stages in planning and participation necessary to complete new projects and major enhancements to the existing systems. Coordinates the implementation of the process and projects.
10% - Reports on project progress to the appropriate leadership of OhioHealth.
10% - Research hospital/Revenue Cycle business operation and gain understanding of application system features and function to achieve business objectives for the hospital. This role requires demonstrated experience in leading complex projects within a healthcare environment, with a strong focus on improving financial performance and operational efficiency. Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices is expected, along with the ability to analyze data and identify trends. Strong communication skills are critical, including the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, translate technical or financial concepts for non-technical audiences, and deliver impactful presentations. Experience with Epic EHR and revenue cycle management (RCM) platforms is highly desirable.
