Project Manager - EHR Systems & Clinical IT Migration

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead and coordinate EHR migration and clinical IT projects across multiple hospitals within KPC Health. This includes managing the transition from Sunrise to Paragon Denali, integrating key modules such as PACS, Radiology, Laboratory, and Pharmacy, and ensuring a seamless deployment within the Azure-hosted environment. The role requires strong project management expertise, effective communication across all hospital departments, and the ability to handle multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of EHR migration projects including Paragon, Sunrise, and Denali.
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple hospital departments-clinical, administrative, and technical-to ensure smooth collaboration and system adoption.
  • Manage cross-functional communication with department heads, physicians, nurses, and IT teams to validate workflows and ensure readiness for go-live.
  • Oversee system configuration, integration, and module testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across all hospital departments.
  • Supervise integration of ancillary systems such as PACS, Radiology Information Systems (RIS), LIS, Pharmacy, SAP, Strata, and CostFlex.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestone trackers, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Identify risks and mitigation plans, escalating issues to leadership as needed.
  • Coordinate vendor communication with Altera Digital Health and other partners during build, testing, and go-live phases.
  • Ensure all implementations adhere to HIPAA, HITECH, and security standards.
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership review.
  • Manage multiple concurrent IT projects with disciplined prioritization and clear documentation.
  • Support training and change management to drive successful adoption and long-term stability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing EHR or healthcare IT projects, preferably across multi-hospital systems.
  • Direct experience with Paragon, Sunrise, Denali, or other major EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Hands-on experience coordinating testing and validation for PACS, Radiology, Laboratory, and Pharmacy systems.
  • Familiarity with Azure or cloud-based hosting environments.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including stakeholder presentations and executive reporting.
  • PMP, CPHIMS, or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
