From day one, you'll help shape concepts, build prototypes, and ensure our designs meet high standards for performance and reliability.

- Heat transfer, thermodynamics, and thermal management principles
- Materials selection and materials science, particularly thermoplastics
- Design and analysis for static and dynamic use cases
- Design using best practices for high-volume manufacturability for stamped metal parts, injection molding, and die casting
- Development of manufacturing equipment and assembly tooling, making use of technologies such as pneumatics, sensors, and vision systems.
Responsibilities- Design of mechanical parts, including stress analysis, worst-case design, tolerance analysis, and review
- Development of theoretical models, simulations, and prototypes to test and validate design.
- Frequent collaboration with radio frequency, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to refine mechanical design
- Qualification for internal and external safety and standards
- Design for high-volume manufacturing, testing, and assembly, including development of tooling and testers
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Science
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned
- 0-3 years' experience in a related field
- You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position
- Willingness and ability to work on-site 5 days per week
- Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time for inter-office collaboration, site visits, etc.
