Full Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:

Syner-G is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of capital projects across facility expansions, infrastructure upgrades, and construction initiatives. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communication to ensure capital projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with program and organizational objectives. The Project Manager works closely with program leadership, engineering, construction teams, procurement, operations, finance, and client stakeholders to drive project execution from planning through turnover. We are actively seeking qualified candidates to join our talent pipeline for future client engagements.

WORK LOCATION:

Travel to client sites may be required based on project demands and client expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead day-to-day management of capital projects, ensuring alignment with program goals, technical requirements, and client expectations.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations across assigned capital initiatives.
  • Oversee project execution including design coordination, procurement activities, construction oversight, and commissioning support.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and change requests, ensuring impacts are documented, evaluated, and communicated.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure timely decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Review design packages, technical documentation, submittals, RFIs, and construction deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and coordination sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Track project performance metrics including schedule adherence, cost performance, and progress against milestones.
  • Support procurement activities including bid evaluations, vendor coordination, and contract administration.
  • Ensure project activities comply with applicable codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate field activities including site walks, installation oversight, punch list development, and turnover documentation.
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to communicate status, risks, and key decisions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and capital program practices.
  • Lead and manage assigned facilities, infrastructure, engineering, and operational projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and action items.
  • Provide routine project status updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Support change management activities and project decision-making processes.
  • Provide day-to-day support to project teams and functional stakeholders.
  • Assist with project documentation, reporting, meeting coordination, and communication plans.
  • Support procurement activities, vendor coordination, and contract administration efforts.
  • Coordinate project deliverables between Facilities, Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, and external contractors.
  • Maintain project files and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible.
  • Coordinate activities among internal departments, contractors, vendors, consultants, and site stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, capture meeting minutes, and track action item completion.
  • Identify project dependencies and ensure alignment between concurrent initiatives.
  • Assist in resolving project conflicts and scheduling constraints.
  • Escalate risks, issues, and resource concerns as appropriate to project leadership.
  • Support the identification, evaluation, and management of project-related impairments affecting facilities, utilities, equipment, safety systems, and operations.
  • Coordinate impairment permits, notifications, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
  • Track impairment status and ensure mitigation measures are implemented and documented.
  • Facilitate cross-functional reviews to evaluate operational impacts and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure impairment activities comply with site procedures, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of contractors, vendors, and project personnel during execution activities.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support daily work planning, execution monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Manage site access, work permits, and contractor onboarding.
  • Assist with field inspections, punch list development, and project closeout activities.
  • Promote safe work practices and adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Coordinate project turnover and operational readiness activities.
  • Ensure completion and collection of required turnover documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, equipment documentation, testing records, commissioning reports, and training records. o Facilitate document review, approval, and handoff workflows between project teams and operational stakeholders.
  • Track turnover deliverables to ensure completeness and compliance with site standards.
  • Support implementation of document management processes and records
  • Provide guidance or oversight to junior project staff when applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related technical field preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification is a plus.

Technical Experience:
  • 4-9 years of experience managing or supporting capital projects, construction projects, facility upgrades, or infrastructure initiatives.
  • Experience working in regulated or complex environments such as biotech, pharmaceutical, industrial, or advanced manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes, construction coordination, design development, and project controls.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, construction, procurement, operations, finance, and safety teams.
  • Experience supporting or leading project phases such as design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, scheduling software, and document control systems.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to shifting project needs.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and cross-functional partners.
