Job Title: Project Manager

Job Location:
Vernon Hills, Illinois United States

Job Summary

We are looking for a professional who will be part of a highly skilled team of project managers and engineers, and
who will strongly contribute to the overall successful management of multidiscipline teams. This individual will
manage the project within the framework of the budget, time schedule, quality, and scope, contributing to the
overall sales result and customer satisfaction. This professional will coordinate and coach the project team to
improve team performance by building team, training, and motivating to facilitate cooperation, ensure project
efficiency and boost morale.

This is a customer facing position. In most cases, you will be the one to kick off the project with the customer via
virtual meeting or in-person. You will then continue to develop the customer relationship from a project execution
and implementation perspective.

This position is located in Toronto, Canada.

Travel is project-dependent with an approximate requirement of 25% of the time.

What you will do

  • Develop quotations for processing and packaging line projects in collaboration with Account Managers and Project Engineering teams.
  • Lead the execution and implementation of sold equipment projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Assemble, coordinate, and lead cross-functional project teams throughout project execution.
  • Plan, monitor, and forecast project budgets using SAP, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
  • Partner with customers to define project roles, responsibilities, and deliverables, ensuring successful and timely execution.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements during onsite activities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across technical, financial, procurement, legal, safety, and commercial areas.
  • Proactively manage project issues and implement effective resolutions to maintain project performance.
  • Provide regular project status updates and escalate critical concerns to management as required.
  • Review, process, and manage project change requests and variation orders.
  • Maintain control of project scope, budget, schedule, quality, procurement activities, and risk management processes.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success.
  • Coordinate resource allocation and provide performance feedback to team members to promote continuous improvement.


We believe you have

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Food Science, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting or leading projects within a PMI-based project management environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, budget management, schedule development, risk mitigation, supplier coordination, and contingency planning is highly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in English required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, lead teams, and contribute effectively as a team member.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.


Pay Equity

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in Ontario, Canada.

Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $110,800.00-$158,200.00 CAD
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
