This position requires technical competence, reinsurance business/industry knowledge, and customer-facing skills. PMs spend the majority of their time working directly with the customers' business and technical teams as well as internal technical experts.

Reporting to the Reinsurance Professional Services Executive and under general supervision, the Project Manager assures successful, timely and cost-effective project delivery. The Project Manager is accountable to Sapiens management as well as to clients for system delivery.

Project initiation, planning and delivery are the responsibility of the Project Manager. Reporting progress to stakeholders, risk planning, change management, as well as deft mitigation of issues or problems are all expected of the PM.

The working environment is fully remote, with occasional attendance at a client's site, depending on the client's dictates. Minimal travel is anticipated, but could be up to 15%, depending on assigned projects.

Description:

PMs are responsible for ensuring that customer projects and Sapiens assignments are delivered within scope, on-time, on-budget and of superior quality. The successful candidate will employ Agile or waterfall project management methodologies using relevant supporting software in the planning, scheduling, reporting and risk management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Initiate projects in partnership with Sapiens finance, legal, and sales staff
    • Assist in the preparation of client-tailored sales materials.
    • Prepare, have reviewed, gain client agreement, and obtain signatures on license contracts, work orders and change requests.
  • Manage project resources:
    • Support project technical leads in the creation and delivery of project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle - from business requirements acquisition system deployment and a successful go-live.
    • Matrix management of assigned business analysts, developers, and QA testers.
    • Work with resource managers to ensure qualified project team members are assigned for the effort and duration needed.
  • Collaborate with project team members to produce and maintain implementation "blueprint" requirements documents. Draft, execute, monitor and update project plans.
  • Estimate and create project budgets. Actively manage the budget by:
    • tracking and monitoring project costs against forecasts.
    • reviewing budgets and costs with the customer and internal management.
    • Maintain detailed project time records for all members of the project team.
  • Ensure disciplined project governance:
    • Deliver inputs and reports in support of client's governance processes.
    • Provide to Sapiens' PMO and senior managers reports of customer project statuses, milestones, risks, and project plan performance.
  • Have a proactive risk management process.
    • Report and document all project risks.
    • Find mitigations for open risks.
    • Provide regular input to PMO risk management processes.
  • Have overarching responsibility for the project change management process and change backlog.
    • Identify changes to the agreed requirements and project plan before unplanned work commences.
    • Manage change priorities per the client's requirements.
    • Draft and execute change orders as necessary.
    • Provide input to the client's change management process.
  • Manage the client relationship for each assigned consultancy engagement.
    • Maintain a current familiarity with the terms of reference for the client engagement including all current license agreements, work orders and associated amendments.
    • Manage customer expectations and deliverables
    • Be responsible for contract management and project invoicing (billable milestones, invoices approval, etc.)
    • Engage with client's issues management process and support their agreed escalation points.
  • Coordinate with other internal teams in the resolution of system delivery and support issues.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with both client and Sapiens management to determine the scope and objectives of each project.
  • Provide feedback for annual performance reviews for direct team members. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities such as hiring and performance/pay reviews.
