Job Description

We are looking for a talented Project Manager - Sales to join our team specializing in Sales for Cummins, Inc. in Nashville, TN or anywhere in the US.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Lead multiple projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery against defined objectives.
  • Facilitate project planning sessions to define scope, requirements, success metrics, and timelines.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and performance goals.
  • Track project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues that could impact delivery.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, conducting research and analysis as needed.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks using quality and risk management tools.
  • Maintain project documentation, records, and reporting; communicate status to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Capture, document, and share project learnings and best practices to improve future outcomes.


Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Communicates effectively - Tailor your communication style for different audiences (leaders, team members, vendors, cross-functional partners). Provide clear, timely updates that help others make decisions quickly. Simplify complex information so everyone understands project status, needs, and next steps.
  • Project Issue and Risk Management - Identify risks early and escalating issues before they become blockers. Use structured tools (risk logs, impact assessments, action trackers) to stay organized. Lead follow-up actions to reduce impacts and keep work moving forward.
  • Project Management - Keep scope, schedule, and resources in balance. Coordinate tasks, timelines, and dependencies across teams. Ensure project deliverables produce the intended impact once completed.
  • Project Scope Management - Track deliverables and ensuring the team stays focused on required work only. Document changes and align stakeholders. Keep everyone clear on what's in-scope and what's not.


Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Knowledge of power generation products, ability to interface with contractors, consulting engineers, vendors, knowledge of codes, knowledge of technical documentation, and strong research capabilities needed.

- Candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Must possess strong organizational and planning skills and be capable of multi-tasking on a variety of complex tasks

- Must be able to manage databases and reporting mechanisms for project milestones.

- Must be data and process oriented/driven.

- Must be able to work in a team environment with Sales, Production, Purchasing, Project Administration, Engineering and Service Team both within and outside of their account.

- Must possess a good base of understanding of project financials.

- Must quickly be able to build rapport with external stakeholders - client and trade partners.

- Ability to review and understand design submittals preferred.

- Previous experience in a new construction preferred.
