About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to support large-scale retail construction and remodel programs for a leading big-box grocery client. In this role, you'll act as an extension of the client's design and construction team, leading end-to-end project delivery across multiple active retail sites.

This is a hybrid role based in Bentonville, Arkansas, with periodic travel (25-30%) to project locations. You'll be part of a high-performing program management team, managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced, operational retail environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • On-Site project management of construction activities
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Proactively communicates project related issues directly with Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
  • Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Reviews bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information necessary to gain complete familiarity with the project.
  • Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project or program.
  • Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
  • Diligently manages change orders to projects.
  • Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Prepares and provides weekly status reports for projects.
  • Proactively identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or qualify.
  • Represents the company in project meetings.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4-year degree in an accredited construction related program or equivalent; or
  • 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing retail construction projects, ideally within grocery or big-box environments
  • Strong understanding of multi-site program management
  • Knowledge of construction processes including pre-construction, permitting, scheduling, and closeout

Pay & Benefits:

The anticipated compensation range for the position is $105,000 to $130,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
