Full Job Description
The Project Manager establishes and maintains direction and guidelines for managing strategic projects and initiatives; this includes resource allocation, project duration, schedule and the project budget. Collaborates with the project workgroup, managers, customers and vendors in identifying key business issues and developing solutions. Responsible for overseeing and providing guidance to a team committed to achieving the project goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Manages medium size complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity
  • Manages all phases of the project and consults for other projects
  • Responsible for creating, coordinating and developing project charters, business cases, technical and architecture specifications and project plans for identified projects
  • Effectively manages all project constraints; budgets, resources, schedules and quality, in order to fulfill deliverables and implement effective business solutions
  • Responsible for completeness of all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle and for obtaining appropriate approvals at each phase of the project
  • Manages project progress by establishing and conducting regularly scheduled meetings with the project workgroup
  • Monitor and direct resolution to ensure solution design meets standard architecture considerations and approvals - standard database structures, code standards, common components and reusable programs, security and performance levels system interfaces and dependencies
  • Identify areas of potential concern in sufficient time to mitigate risk. Assist the project workgroup in managing those risks throughout the project by communicating, tracking and mitigating issues
  • Provides updates to Management as required
  • Leverage analytical skills to distill large volumes of data into clear, concise action plans aimed at improving the delivery of projects/initiatives
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative analyses, such as root cause, impact, risk, gap and cost/benefit
  • Perform systems analysis, as needed
  • Builds strong partnerships with internal customers in order to increase value and delivery of ROI
  • Ensures all action items are assigned and completed
  • Assesses performance and provides feedback of assigned project personnel as required
  • Manages vendor selection
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 4 years of full cycle project management experience
  • PMP Certification required
  • Ability to manage 10+ interdependent or integrated processes and 6+ Applications

Preferred
  • 7+ years dedicated project management experience
  • Dental, managed healthcare, or retail industry experience

  • Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to create presentations and use outstanding presentation skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • High skill level in customer service
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with management and all levels of staff
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies
