DescriptionOur Transmission & Distribution Global Practice is looking for a Project Manager to support our Oklahoma City Office. The Project Manager is responsible for leading a diverse team of stakeholders from multiple entities in the successful delivery of complex projects, from inception through final close-out, including the development and implementation of processes, procedures, strategy, execution plans, resource planning, risk management, and reporting tools. The Project Manager will lead the team in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety and overall outstanding service.
- Lead the development and execution of overall strategic business initiatives to achieve goals and objectives provided by the client or Burns & McDonnell.
- Provide leadership to the Project team; direct and coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team and ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of staff.
- Responsible for management of Project budget and expenditure of funds.
- Achieve stated targets and standards for the Project financial performance.
- Present monthly financial information to leadership including project revenue forecasts.
- Support strategies for cross-selling engineering services across the organization.
- Attend bi-weekly team coordination and monthly stakeholder meetings.
- Support monthly reporting requirements by assessing project risk, program status, and coordination with controls team for schedule and financial updates.
Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from accredited program and 7 years applicable experience.
- Applicable years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
- Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
