Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Professional Services team at Kansys. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project planning, execution, and project completion. This includes coordinating the efforts of the project team, capacity planning and ensuring project goals are achieved on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of external and internal stakeholders.

The Project Manager role is critical to the success of the organization, requiring a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management experience

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop a comprehensive project plan, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements. Work with all stakeholders to identify project goals and objectives.

Team Coordination: Provide leadership, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.

Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans as necessary.

Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and provide project cost reports to internal stakeholders.

Project Status Reporting: Provide regular status reports to stakeholders, updating them on project progress, issues, and risks.

Quality Management: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and that project goals are achieved to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage project stakeholders, managing their expectations and ensuring their satisfaction with project outcomes.

Change Management: Manage project scope changes, evaluating their impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including capacity planning, project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.

Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience managing complex projects, preferably in a technology, specifically software-related, or engineering field.

Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience with project management software, such as Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.

Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum, and an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business requirements for internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex challenges through critical thinking, creativity, and sound decision-making, delivering effective and practical solutions

Ability to motivate the team by fostering a positive, inclusive work environment, setting clear goals and expectations, recognizing achievements, and encouraging collaboration to drive high performance and continuous improvement.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Certification in project management, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or PMI-ACP, is preferred.

Experience

4+ years of project management experience.
