Full Job Description
Project Manager

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is currently seeking a Project Manager to join the Power Delivery department in our Minneapolis, MN office, working remote in Amarillo, TX. This position will manage various types of Transmission and Distribution projects.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the project planning process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and close out
  • Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget and the project resources including external vendors and contractors
  • Serve as the primary project authority for assigned project personnel on major project-related issues
  • Direct project team and lead the project management process
  • Responsible for metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate and department procedures during all the phases of the project


Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or industry related experience from an accredited university required - engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline preferred
  • Experience of five (5) years of professional experience in the construction, and/or electric power and communications industry
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting


Desired Education/Experience

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Five (5) years of project management experience
  • Experience in project management controls area
