We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a growing team at a PSS Client site. This role is ideal for candidates with a scientific background who are looking to transition into a project management role, leveraging their technical expertise alongside strong organizational and operational skills. The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting project management within the client's department, translating scientific and laboratory workflows into structured, well-managed projects that drive efficiency and business value.

Job Duties Include:
  • Manage lab business operations projects from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Support capital purchase processes, PO creation and ordering.
  • Management of client SharePoint site/access/updates.
  • Lead end-to-end onboarding of laboratory assets, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, and implementation
  • Translate scientific needs and laboratory processes into structured project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Partner with scientists and stakeholders to evaluate requests and develop decision-ready presentations
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements using LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Support SOP creation, revision, and standardization related to lab operations
  • Provide clear project updates, metrics, and recommendations to leadership


Qualifications

Basic Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences (required); advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on laboratory or scientific experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated environment
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in project coordination, operations, or process improvement is highly preferred
  • Strong scientific foundation with the ability to understand laboratory processes and workflows
  • Demonstrated organizational acuity, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Authorization to work in the country indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience working as a scientist in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment (e.g., lab, analytical, QC, or development roles)
  • Familiarity with project management tools or methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP concepts)
  • Familiarity with CoPilot or other AI-based applications
  • Lean Process knowledge, Technical Writing Skills, Process Mapping


Additional Information

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA and Spring House, PA are encouraged to apply. The employee will be required to commute to both the West Point and Spring House locations depending on the collaboration needs day-to-day. This position is fully on-site.
