Full Job Description
One Federal Solution (OFS) seeks an experienced and organized Supervisor/Project Manager to support our Department of State customer by overseeing daily labor and moving operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising personnel, coordinating office relocations and moving services, managing work orders, ensuring compliance with Department of State requirements, and serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations. This role requires strong leadership, customer service, and operational management skills to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Project Manager Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of labor and moving personnel supporting Department of State facilities.
  • Assign employees to work orders based on project requirements and designate a point of contact (POC) for each assignment.
  • Oversee office relocations, inter-office moves, and labor support for official Department events and functions.
  • Conduct site visits and walkthroughs for major office moves, annex relocations, and special projects.
  • Prepare labor estimates and coordinate staffing requirements for work orders.
  • Ensure employees report to job sites in required attire and are physically and mentally prepared to perform assigned duties safely.
  • Coordinate work order scheduling, employee timesheets, and documentation to support accurate invoicing.
  • Ensure company vehicles, moving equipment, and tools are properly maintained, serviceable, and available for daily operations.
  • Maintain current Certificates of Insurance and submit required documentation for Department of State annex facilities.
  • Coordinate employee badging, security access requests, and security letters for facility access and special events.
  • Maintain employee personnel records and related administrative documentation.
  • Lead recruiting efforts to maintain an adequate workforce to support contract requirements.
  • Train employees on standard moving procedures, safety practices, Department of State policies, and company procedures.
  • Monitor work performance and ensure services are completed in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and customer expectations.
  • Resolve operational issues and provide timely solutions while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Project Manager Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or project management experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience managing labor, moving, warehouse, logistics, or facilities operations.
  • Ability to supervise multiple teams, prioritize work assignments, and coordinate personnel and equipment.
  • Experience coordinating office relocations, labor services, or facilities support operations.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience scheduling personnel, coordinating work orders, maintaining employee records, and preparing operational reports.
  • Ability to assess operational issues and implement timely, effective solutions.
  • Experience coordinating vehicle and equipment utilization for daily operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required Department of State facility access credentials.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as necessary and support field operations when required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Previous experience supporting Department of State or other Federal Government facilities.
  • Experience managing labor and moving contracts within a federal environment.
